Better loses half a million on Browns against the Rams

One ambitious gambler put a crazy $506,000 on the Browns to cover as 3.5 point home underdogs. The bet was placed at William Hill sportsbook at the Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City.

It is reportedly the largest bet of the NFL season so far and is the largest bet ever placed at William Hill. As far the William Hill spokesperson could remember. The bet went against the popular option of many bettors as 94% of the money was on the Rams with either money line or the spread. The sportsbook has no problem with the whooping bet as the bettor was described as a regular customer with the sportsbook.

The Rams-Browns was a disaster for most sportsbook as the Rams were able to cover even with a late drive by the Browns that ended at the Rams 20 yard line.

The Atlanta Hawks have aqcuired the Pelican’s number4 pick in exhange for the number 8, 17, and the 35 picks; The Pelicans are also sending Solomon Hill, the number 57 and a future second round pick.

Carson Wentz, Eagles Agree to 4-Year Contract Extension

Carson Wentz and the Philadelphia Eagles reached an agreement Thursday on a four year contract extension that will keep him in Philadelphia through the 2024 season.

The monetary terms of the deal were not released yet.

The 26 year old North Dakota State Product threw 16 touchdowns and 14 interceptions in his rookie season. The had a breakout season in 2017 where he threw for 3,296 yards with 33 touchdowns and seven picks across only 13 appearances.

Wentz season was cut short when he tore his ACL in Week 14 against the Rams. However Nick Foles would take the starting QB role and lead the Eagles to a Super Bowl victory over the New England Patriots.

In the 2018 season while he performed well he would only play 11 games, first waiting for his ACL to heal and then have his season end early for a reoccurring back injury.

Wentz contract extension was a guarantee when they let Nick Foles walk instead of signing himas the potential future of the franchise or the strongest backup in the NFL for Wentz.
