Dwayne Haskins once said it was a mistake for the Giants to not have picked him. His only real mistake was coming into the game today.
Nine completions, seventeen attempts, 107 yards, and three interceptions on his rookie debut. Not quite Nathan Peterman numbers but clearly not the guy you want your city to believe in.
Then you look at his Giant’s counterpart, a young man from Duke who in two short weeks has given a previously crumbling franchise their new Messiah. Two games, two wins and their already almost half way to their 2018 win total and for the second straight week he did it all without Saquon Barkley due to a high ankle sprain.
It may of been only two games for Jones and one game for Haskins, but it seems pretty clear to me the Gants won the 2019 quarterback draft. The Giants have their new franchise quarterback, and the redskins will be spending another first rounder in the next two years.
Danny Dimes is here to stay, while Haskins will be pulling the Antonio Brown and signing up for online courses back at Ohio State before the end of the season.
